boat type: sailboat
propulsion type: sail
condition: excellent
length overall (LOA): 33
make / manufacturer: Ranger Yachts
model name / number: Ranger
year manufactured: 1976
This 33 foot sailboat is in very good condition and originally had an Atomic 4 gasoline engine in it. I have taken that out and fitted a Universal diesel engine in it which runs very well.
The decks are smooth with virtually no stress cracks and no soft spots. The standing rigging is in very good condition as well as the running rigging, much of which is new.
The sails are all in very good condition. It comes with a spare headsail, mainsail and a spinnaker.
Most of the hosing fitted to the engine is brand new and has had a new water pump fitted. The belt has been renewed as well. The fuel filter unit has been changed to the water trap type and has a new filter fitted.
The navigation lights work as well as does the anchor light.
The hull had the antifoul paint (Petit brand) redone in July 2023 and minor blister repair as well as new zinc anode placed on the prop shaft while she was out of the water. The depth gauge works as does the knot meter.
Below decks the interior is in very good condition with all cushions clean and very presentable. All the woodwork is solid with no rot but does show some stain wear around the galley area from cooking, this could be redone with teak oil if you wish. The interior lights have been replaced with LEDs. The water system is all operational and has a hot water tank too.
The head is clean and presentable and operational too.
There is a solar panel fitted to keep the AGM batteries charged when at anchor and they are only a year old.
Items of note are the custom made mattress in the V berth and the tv on the main bulkhead. The fridge while connected I have not operated. There is power to it but doesn't turn on, it might be the mechanical thermostat?
All in all the boat is a well presented coastal cruiser ready to sail right now. I am asking $13500. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions, thank you.
