I am the second owner of this 1981 Mustang. All original 2.3 four cylinder car. The 20k+ miles are believed to be original, according to everything we have been able to discover, though 120k+ would seem more realistic. Take it as you will.
It was bought brand new by a local man and driven on occasion. It always had a cover on it, but the car shows its age. The cover didn’t do anything for the car and he eventually had it repainted, but it’s a cheap paint job.
A couple of years after the original owner passed away, I purchased the car from his son. The tires were flat and it did not run, but it was headed for the scrap yard.
I purchased the car for me and my teenage son to enjoy. We got it running and that’s about all. Now that he has a daily and is heading off to college, he has decided to sell it.
It runs but needs vacuum lines redone for power brake booster to work properly. It is not drive-able, though we drive it around the farm and around the block.
It shifts fine as well.
Very little rust that is manageable and repairable.
