Hi there!
I hope this message finds you well, and I wanted to start by wishing you the very best in finding the perfect home for your sweet little one. I also wanted to take a moment to properly introduce myself.
My name is Shana Creech, and together with my husband and our children, I help run a small family farm and animal sanctuary located in Kinston, North Carolina—where the animals are spoiled, the kids are busy, and no one ever stays clean for long.
We’re situated on the back side of Kinston, about 10 minutes from Deep Run and roughly 30 minutes from Richlands. We officially closed on our home in April, turning a long-time family dream into reality. What started as our children’s wish for a small farm with a few “classic” animals—goats, ducks, chickens, and a pig (or two)—quickly grew into something much bigger.
As the farm grew, so did our hearts. Our kids were inspired to expand the mission into an animal sanctuary, giving injured, at-risk, or unwanted animals a safe second chance. Today, we care for a variety of animals including farm animals and small pets such as guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, reptiles, and more. Every animal here is well cared for, deeply loved, and treated as part of the family—because around here, “just an animal” isn’t a thing.Every animal here is well cared for, deeply loved, and absolutely treated like family—whether they have hooves, paws, scales, or a dramatic personality.
We’ve also extended our sanctuary to also focus on guinea pigs and even bunnies fall under this one big time, particularly those who need extra rehabilitation and socialization. Some arrive shy, fearful, or unsure of humans, and our goal is to help them build confidence and prepare them for a loving family setting. We work to match each guinea pig(and bunny) with a home that truly fits their personality. If, for any reason, a suitable home isn’t found, they always have a permanent place with us here at the sanctuary. We never turn away an animal in need unless we are truly at full capacity—because saying “no” is the hardest part of this work.
After seeing your post, I wanted to reach out and offer a safe, loving place for your little one within our sanctuary. One of our long-term goals is to eventually create a small educational petting zoo, but above all else, our priority is always the comfort, health, and happiness of the animals in our care.
