If you would like to get a starter pack of figs, I have those available as well, for new gardeners looking for a cheap pack of cuttings to practice on.
All of our products are "Beyond Organic" and raised using Permaculture principles. We fertilize with various animal manures like worm, rabbit, chicken & cow and we make extensive use of products like vermiculite, perlite, woodchips and mycorrhizal fungi. If you receive one of our trees, our living soil may indeed contain alive critters like compost worms. Do not be alarmed! All cuttings taken after January 1 when all trees were completely dormant.
All of my cuttings are thicker than a pencil. I do not send out cuttings that I would not be pleased to receive myself. All cuttings are treated with a hydrogen peroxide bath, wiped immediately after, then allowed to dry before being labeled and some are waxed shortly thereafter. Some of my cuttings are waxed on the top to delay desiccation during the rooting process. If you wish for a cutting that has been waxed, please request it and one will be provided to you (if available). From processing to shipping, they are stored in a commercial refrigerator inside of a gallon-sized ziploc bag at 37F, with a paper towel to control moisture if necessary.
